Turn your regular Version Control System into a “Distributed VCS” with CrossVista TEAM Server for webMethods
CrossVista is proud to announce the first Distributed ALM Solution for Packaged Applications!!!
CrossVista TEAM Server is an Application Lifecycle Management solution for Packaged Applications such as webMethods. As part of our integrated solution, we provide the ability to store your assets in traditional version control solutions such as SubVersion, CVS, ClearCase, Microsoft TFS, Borland Starteam, and more.
Many of CrossVista’s customers are global entities with globally distributed IT teams. This presents a functional challenge where a single globally distributed team might work on the same project. For example, a development team might consist of team members spread across one location in Europe, another location in the United States, and a third location in India. They might all be working off of a single instance of Subversion hosted in Europe. This can create a challenge where network delays come into play and impact performance. Developers are less efficient when they have to wait for a checkout or checkin to complete.
With CrossVista TEAM Server, each local development team could have their own local “distributed” instance of CrossVista TEAM Server along with their own local instance of SubVersion. CrossVista can be configured to operate in the background to synchronize the various TEAM Servers and their local repositories. This removes the long network wait and makes your team that much more efficient. In addition, this distributed approach provides for built in backups because each local TEAM Server maintains a realtime backup of all of your project assets.
By bundling together the functions of Version Control, Change, Config, and Release Management, CrossVista TEAM Server provides one solution for managing all aspects of the webMethods Application Lifecycle.
